Vision

  • In this desired future, the Library ensures that its collections remain forward-looking, diverse in breadth and form, open to browsing, and of best quality. Through promotion, the Library makes people aware of the resources available to them, and through innovation, it makes access to these resources easier.
  • The Library’s creation of an integrated, seamless web of information further streamlines access. To serve future users, the Library preserves information across all formats and ensures effective storage and delivery systems.
  • The Library’s physical and virtual spaces respond to the changing habits of its users to enrich the campus experience and to multiply the ways in which people can pursue inquiry.
  • The Library’s collaboration with expanding circles of partners yields unified access, broadening knowledge, and enhanced services.


Mission

  • The primary mission of the library is to support the educational and research programmes of the institution by providing physical and intellectual access to information.
  • In accordance with the objectives of the institution, the library aims to develop a comprahensive collection of documents, useful for the readers.

Rules

  • The library remains open on all working days.
  • The opening hours of the library are from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.
  • Lunch break is observed from 2.00 pm to 2.30 pm .For all services except reading and reference services


Use of the library and library materials

  • Members must have their identity cards.
  • Bags, lunch boxes and other personal belongings must be deposited at the entrance.
  • Ever member must sign in the gate register.
  • Strict, silence decorum and discipline must be maintained in the library.
  • Readers should not mark,underline,dog-marking, write, tear pages or damages the library documents.
  • Members should check the book before taking for issue.The last borrower will be responsible for the defects and damages.
  • Loss of book should be reported immediately. The book thus reported should be repleaced with the new copy together with processing charges and overdue fines if any or double the cost of the book with processing charges together with over due fines.
  • The librarian reserves the right to recall any book from any member at any time.
  • Pen drives, cd drives, external hard disks etc., are not allowed.
