CIVIL ENGINEERING

Srinivas Angadi has taken charge of this prestigious department in the year 2021. He completed his B. Tech and M. Tech (Civil Engineering) from JNTU College of Engineering, JNTU Hyderabad and currently pursuing Ph.D. (Geotechnical Engineering) from JNTU Hyderabad. His main area of research interests are Coastal defence Structures, composite materials, Project management and Smart Cities. He has more than a decade of experience in both Academics and Industry. He has presented 5 research papers in international conferences at IIT-Hyderabad, University of Malaya-Malaysia, and NICMAR Hyderabad. He has 6 research papers published in reputed Scopus Indexed Journals.

Civil Engineering department was established in the year 2009 with an intake of 60 Seats. The lateral entry of the department is 20% of the total intake. Department comprises of well qualified and experienced faculty and are from the Alumni of JNTU Kakinada, JNTU Hyderabad and Andhra University. The faculty continues to strive hard for Outcome Based Education (OBE) by exploring new frontiers of knowledge, imparting the latest technical knowledge to the students and conducting high quality of research and many have international publications in their credit.

Department has well Equipped Laboratories in the main areas like Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Water Resources, Transportation Engineering, Surveying, Environmental Engineering and Geology. Department has a special unit dedicated to Civil Engineering Design and Drafting Software’s which include AutoCAD (2D & 3D), STADD. Pro and ArcGIS.

Many eminent Researchers/Industrial Experts/Academia are invited for giving expert lectures in current Technologies/Research trends for the benefit of the students. The department conducts annual Technical Fest, Workshops/Technical seminars for the benefit of students to bring out their hidden Talents. The students are encouraged to participate in National/ International level competitions being conducted at premier institutes and professional bodies.

Department always encourage and trains graduating students constantly to pursue higher studies in various Universities abroad by securing higher qualifying grades in GATE/GRE/TOEFL/IELTS etc., . We drive our students to focus on securing jobs both in Reputed Private and Public Sectors like IES, AEE and JE etc.
